Carving our pumpkins....

My little artist works intently on his pumpkin. Jake and all of the pumpkins needed a bath after our messy crafting. Unfortunately, the pen that came in our carving kit was water-based and so all of our art work washed away. :( I still tried to make something cool out of it (see last pic, far right).

I tried getting fancy with some cookie cutters, but ended up splitting a pumpkin instead... Jake used some of the extra heart cutters as bracelets, or, maybe, 'bicep jewelery'... tee hee

Ralph, in the midst of all of our pumpkin guts. (I love this pic!)

Jake and Dada get down to business.

I was totally proud of mine! I based it on a template we had, but I drew it freehand and cut it out myself. Pretty spiffy, huh? :)

Our finished pumpkins, displayed on the radiator. Just a tip kids, don't LEAVE pumpkins on a radiator all night... By the next evening, they all looked like old people without their dentures in....

Joy of Joys

The terrible two's have arrived early. They have been announcing their arrival at the top of their lungs. Over and over. All day long. For no reason whatsoever. Calgon take me away.

Jake visits the pumpkin patch

It wouldn't be fall without a trip to the pumpkin patch! We spent the weekend out at my parent's house in Pennsylvania, where they have lots of open land and fields and great places for growing pumpkins! We went to Brown's Orchard and had a great time.

Almost three feet tall!

We even attempted to get a family picture! :)

We had a great time and can't wait to see Grandma and Grandpa again this weekend in NY.

Happy Anniversary to Us!

Happy 3rd Anniversary to the man I would marry all over again :) Thanks for being a wonderful loving husband, a fun and hands-on dad, and the one I get to kiss goodnight.

When I look at the pictures, I remember what a beautiful, perfect, amazing day it was. We had ideal weather - 68 degrees, not a cloud in the sky, light wind, trees in all of the beautiful shades of fall - but even more precious were the people we were able to celebrate with that day. I don't get to say it enough, but thanks so much to my parents for giving us such a beautiful and unforgettable wedding.

Happy Anniversary Sweetheart, I love you :)

Crazy Baby Videos

These are hilarious! I didn't have any new pics of Jake to blog, but I remembered I had taken some video last month and never uploaded it. Enjoy!

Where Are We?

I've been neglecting posting on the blog lately. If you want to know what I've been up to (I know, I know, it's JAKE'S baby blog, not KELLY's busy blog!), just click here.

Pictures will be up soon. Which reminds me: Mom - send me the pics from the pumpkin patch from last weekend! :)

Come out, come out, wherever you are!

According to my friend Jennifer, today (or this week) is Delurking Day. For those who are not familiar with the term, it roughly translates to: I know you are secretly reading my blog without commenting! I'd be so happy to know who reads these blogs. I work very hard on them and I'd feel a lot better knowing someone other than me and Jake's two Grandmas (BLATANT LURKERS!) are reading the blog. So be brave today! Stop lurking in the back and come on out and say HELLO! Did you know that every time you view the baby blog without commenting, Jake cries? Do you want to make my baby cry? I didn't think so. I know there are at least ten times more readers than commenters (that's what my site meter tells me). Jake would love to 'meet' you and say hi! Please, think of the children.
